Because To Travel is to Live

Our life doesn't get better by chance; it gets better by change but if we get chance we must grab it.

In my life, I got chance to change my lifestyle in a better way.

When we travel to other country we need to change our lifestyle and daily routine life to fit there.

Lifestyle which we have to  change is our food habits. For communication purposes the most important thing is to learn other languages.

My host parents in Germany also like traveling. We used to travel much in weekends specially. We were of the opinion that 'Expendure in traveling is an Investment in ourself'. My daily routine in Germany was very much similar to my home country India.

Early morning after fresh up I was taking breakfast with my Co-host student Nanny who from Thailand and our host mother Bibo. (My host father Egon was leaving for work before we were wake up).

After breakfast Bibo used to drop us to our different school's; our school's were different because we could be connected to different students and we could come to know about their culture.

My school's name was Voltaire schule. I never felt any botheration about the study in school because it was very much like a collage to me. Every teacher was so nice to me and my classmates were very cooperative.

My lecturers period was from 0815. School leaving time was different depending upon my time table. If I had four lectures then I could leave at 1535 hrs and if  three lectures at 1400 hrs.

We were getting very tasty food in the school. On Monday and Tuesday after lunch there were sports classes which were difficult for me because I did not like sports; for which I laugh today.

After school hours sometime I used to go to Supermarket ALDI or Brandenburg Straße (Strasse). How ever mostly I preferred to go back home & got warm when it was very cold.

I was going back home by traveling in Tram; I still remember my Tram nummer 91 from Luisenplatz-süd / Park Sanssouci (this was the stand near to my school) to Potsdam, Im Bogen/Zeppelinstr (near my home).

After reaching home I used to do some household works. Usually I was reaching to home first. Nanny used to come after 40 to 45 minutes.

Every evening it was pleasure movements when Bibo and Egon were coming back to home; after long working day. Those were memorable days.

Egon is Master Chef of house. He cooks very delicious food for Abendbrot (dinner) and because of that I was hardly cooking Indian food.

Every exchange student misses there home country food so as I. How ever I was aware that I would get my food once I would reach back to my home country. So I was enjoying German food which Egon cooked special Kartoffel Puffer, Spinatknödel and many more..

After Abendbrot (dinner) Nanny & I used to seat with Bibo & play cards along with dessert (icecream, chips, chocolates, peanuts)

So, this is how I had spent my days in Germany during winter.
